Vechur Conservation Trust: The association of students, teachers and public since 1988 and continued through years was transformed as a Vechur conservation trust in 1998 by legally registering it.

The Trust shall be  a charitable Trust with operation throughout the State of  Kerala.

Objectives of the trust: The conservation of the Spreading the message of conservationdomesticated species of importance.
1. To conserve  the domesticated animals and birds  native to  Kerala;
2. To conduct surveys and to ascertain the status and  importance of such animals and birds;
3. To create and promote among the public interest and  awareness in conservation of domestic animals and birds in danger;
4.  To encourage and conduct research in all branches of  conservation  biology;
5. To assist individuals, institutions and organisations in similar pursuits with information and advice;
6. To create, purchase, construct, equip or replenish a museum, library or other structures and other collections which are necessary, suitable, desirable for the purpose of the Trust ;
7. To raise funds for the Trust by receiving contributions and donations from public or from organisations and the Government;
8. To engage and remunerate experts and other staff for any or all the objectives of the Trust;
9. To engage and make all other acts, matters and things and ancillary thereto or necessary or convenient for the purpose of the Trust including the purchase of or taking on lease of land and buildings, vehicles, research equipment's etc.
10. To raise funds for the Trust in such manner the Board of Trustees thinks fit from time to time.
11. To establish endowments, scholarships, The keen participation of peoplegrants for research scholars and students for the  furtherance of the objectives of the Trust
12.  To associate and collaborate with other organisations, individuals and workers towards the objectives or undertaking activities similar to those of the Trust.
13. To carry out any other activity as decided by the Board of Trustees from time to time in the interest of  conservation.
14. To publish books, dissertations, theses, periodicals, news papers etc, for the spread of the objectives of the Trust or on the work of the Trust including production and publication of visuals
15. To organise, manage and maintain flora for exchange of ideas, experiences and observations relating to the objectives of the Trust through seminars, conventions, workshops, meetings etc.

Subscribers: Any person who has attained age of 18 years and who subscribes to the aims and objectives of the Trust and apply to become subscriber of the Trust on being admitted by the Board of Trustees and on payment of subscription of Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) for 5 years.  The Board of Trustees shall have powers to enhance the subscription rate and re fix the period by majority decision.
